Aim

The aim of this course is to equip delegates with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence required to operate the selected lift truck safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current legislation, manufacturer’s instructions, and recognised industry best practice.

By the end of the course, successful delegates will be able to demonstrate safe operating techniques, carry out effective pre-use inspections, and operate the machine competently within a variety of workplace environments.

Understand operator responsibilities and relevant health and safety legislation
Identify key components and functions of the truck through full machine familiarisation
Carry out thorough daily and pre-use safety checks, including defect identification and reporting
Safely and correctly use operator controls and instrumentation

Accurately assess load weights, load centres, and rated capacities
Safely lift, carry, stack, and de-stack loads, including working within racking systems
